TOUR ORGANISER

 

• Cycol Tour (cycoltours.com). A bespoke tour operator that specialises in endurance cycling events. They are two ex-traffic police officers specialising in road safety. Brian Cookson the newly appointed President of Cycling’s World Governing body, the UCI, said about them ‘They really know what they’re doing and put together a great package’.

INTRODUCTION

 

• This challenge takes you through two iconic cities in Europe. Leaving the stunning Genoa coast of Italy heading north-east we will cycle the beautiful coastal road before turning up onto the rooftop of Italy. We will then cycle across the roof of Italy before ending up on the causeways of Venice.

 

 

BASIC INFO

 

• Professional cycle guiding/mechanic
   

• Cycling distances of 65-75 miles a day
   

• Four day event
   

• Hotel accommodation for 3 nights
   

• Full board basis

 

 

FITNESS REQUIREMENTS

 

• The tour is suitable for most road cyclist who have attempted an endurance cycling event before. If you are worried about this aspect don’t be, contact me and we can discuss the requirements. We do recommend that you follow a fitness plan in preparation for this event.

 

 

TRIP PRICE INCLUDES
 

• Professional Event Organisation
   

• Qualified cycle guides on motorbikes. The guides from this company are ex-traffic police and are highly qualified on motorbikes as guides.
   

• Five nights accommodation
   

• Baggage and equipment transfers during the event
   

• Public and Product liability insurance is included. Participants must have their own accident and sports travel insurance.

 

 

NOT INCLUDED

 

• Personal travel to Genoa and back from Venice.
   

• Monday night accommodation in Genoa the night before.
   

• Friday night accommodation in Venice upon our arrival.

 

 

COSTS
 

• Cost to be paid by entrant £600
   

• Deposit of £300 (to be paid by 31st January 2015)
   

• Balance £300 (to be paid at least two months before the day of travel. Can be paid on a monthly basis to split the cost.)
   

• All payments to be made to “The AWARE Foundation” via ‘my donate’ online
