AWARE gives disadvantaged and vulnerable children in India the right to an education We reach out to children in deprived communities throughout India by using education as a way of transforming their lives for the better. It also provides street/runaway children and orphans with a protected childhood so that they can go on to make well-informed decisions in life
Who do we help.. Orphans, Street children, HIV affected and infected children, Children of sex workers, Disaster victims, COVID affected children and families, Children of socio- economically most Backward communities and Children of seasonally migrating families
In the last year AWARE has supported:
CARDTS in Karnataka: 71 Children in 2 Shelter homes
Shaishav in Dediyapada: 1259 children through 14 Ashram Shlas, 3 Van Shlas in 14 villages
Swapath Trust: total of 965 children through projects and networking activities (600 COVID children) & 630 patients during the second wave of the pandemic
Vishwagram: 16 children at the Karunagram shelter home
CRCG: does not work directly with children but had catered to 41 children in the workshop.
Thus, the total children currently outreached are: 2352 trough six projects.
